Notes: Ivy came into the shelter summer of 2014 but was soon in foster care due to not doing well there- she did not like other cats. She is now in her 2nd foster home. If you are seeking a feline challenge, Ivy may be the cat for you. She is about 4 years old and a typical torti- that is, she has an attitude. Although she wants to be with you, she will often swat back then walk off. She will follow you all over and love you up but has these "spells" at times with no obvious cause. It will take some time to earn her trust but once you do so, Ivy will follow you all over. Life is on her terms so be ready for some pushback. If you wish to meet her, please contact the shelter to set up a time with the foster parent or if you have questions, the foster can speak with you over the phone to provide more details. Again, Ivy needs to be in a quiet home and the only pet.

Breed(s)/Purebred: DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR Tabby
Colors: Gray Black
Color Pattern: Tabby
Size/Weight Medium
Collar Color/Type:
Intake Status: Surrender
Notes: DOB2/1/2014. O’Mally starts off very shy, but since going to his foster home he has come out of of his shell and is quite the rambunctious boy but can be laid back at times too. This handsome fella loves to be petted and will rub his head into your hand and leg, but sometimes will get over stimulated and give love nips and wrap his paws around your hand, so for that we say no young children. To calm him down give a good wand toy or toy that he can kick his back legs on, especially if there are feathers. This will amuse him and entertain his human as well. He loves a variety of toys and is fun to watch and interact with. He is in a home with several other cats, enjoys being around them and is fine most of the time. However, when he wants to play with them, he’ll chase and wrestle and doesn’t know his own strength so can be a bit rough for the average cat. He may be best as an only cat, or if you have a cat that likes to rough house he’s your guy. He may even be a good indoor/outdoor cat, where outside he can burn off some of that masculine energy. He is in a foster home so please call the shelter first.

Notes: DOB 2/1/2013. Buttons is at Pet Supplies Plus in South Lyon where she is starting to show off more of her personality. She likes to sit on her scatching board at the front of the cage and enjoys people petting her. She has a pretty face and her coat is starting to get quite shiny showing off the white specs throughout her coat. She just started jumping at a wand toy showing some of her younger spunk, whereas, she can also be very laid back lying around being very low key. In her cage she’ll roll around for pets, and likes her belly rubbed. We know she’s playing when nobody is around because we find toys all over her cage. She is ok around other cats but doesn’t want to interact with them and may hiss if they get too close or try to interact. She even sits near another cat in the groom room when we take her out of the cage, but just wants to be left alone by the other cat. She seems to be ok around calm dogs as well. Come by and meet this nice girl as she’s now been in a cage for over 2 months

Colors: Gray

Notes: DOB 2/1/2013. Maizey came to the shelter a very scared petite girl and wasn’t feeling well. Volunteers started working with her and she was getting more comfortable each week. She went into a foster home where she got over her cold quickly, and in less than a week was sitting by her foster mom on the living room chair. Maizey is as sweet as they come, and enjoys being near her foster mom often going to sit near her, enjoys being petted, sometimes stepping onto her foster mom’s lap for more pets. She loves to look out the window watching the birds, and is starting to play more & more each day showing off her younger spunkier side. She likes to lie around on pillows, pet cushions and a pet bed that sits on the couch. Early on she also enjoyed sleeping in kitty cubes. She’s in a home with several other cats and is fine around them, and leaves them alone. Because she’s on the timid side, she should go to a quiet home. Her small unique face with the big bright eyes, and her petite frame, will make you melt over this special girl. Maizey is in a foster home so please call the shelter first.

Notes: DOB 1/1/2015. Meet Gwen a gorgeous torti that prefers to be the queen of the house. Gwen loves her family and would be a great cuddle buddy, she loves watching the birds out the window and playing with her catnip toys. Gwen came to the shelter after being live trapped in an attic (the homeowner thought she was a raccoon), lol. Gwen was labored breathing when she came to us, we sent her to the vet for x-rays and they found a fungus in her lungs! She is undergoing treatment and after a short 2 weeks there is an improvement with her current x-rays. This condition is NOT contagious and will go away with continued treatment, she is already doing much better. Please stop at the front desk and speak with staff. If you are unable to adopt maybe long term foster? She will be kept on our site as Fostered Available and we will contact you to set up an appointment for meet ups. Sad that this sweet girl has been here so long due to a fluky condition. FRONT DECLAWED
